Cheddar – 1½ miles from Batts Farm
Cheddar is an old market town still stepped in tradition; you can enjoy a great day out here with so much to see and do! Take a stroll around Britain’s biggest Gorge in the heart of Cheddar or visit the caves that are over a million years old, there is also an open top bus that will take you on a tour of Cheddar during the summer months. For the more active try your hand at caving, climbing or abseiling or take a walk up Jacob’s ladder – not for the faint hearted! Wells – 4 miles from Batts Farm
Wells is the smallest City in the UK but boasts one of the most beautiful cathedrals. Wells is famous for the ancient cathedral built in the 13th century with 293 medieval sculptures adorning the front. Take a tour around the cathedral or enjoy a bite to eat in the cloisters restaurant. This city has a market place just outside the cathedral grounds which still has a traditional market every Wednesday and Saturday. Wookey Hole – 3 miles from Batts Farm
Visit the caves for a fantastic day out for all the family. Go on a magical tour of the caves with it’s music and light shows, see the workings of the paper mill or step back in time in the Victorian arcade and museum – there is plenty to see and do in this quiet village, take a look at what’s on offer at www.wookey.co.uk.
Glastonbury – 6 miles from Batts Farm
